This year, because we couldn’t invite the 6th class parents into school for the graduation ceremony, the 6th class teachers and pupils decided to make a special video for them instead. Fabian Murphy recorded the girls talking about their memories of school and showing Memory Books which they designed during an online Creative Week workshop with the Ark in Temple Bar, Dublin.

The girls also learned the Jerusalema dance which they performed with great skill out in the playground, followed by a rendition of A Million Dreams from “The Greatest Showman” with musical accompaniment on guitar. The girls were all sporting their beautiful new Class of 2021 hoodies for the recording and we are most grateful to the Parents’ Association for helping with the cost of these. The video, which is password protected, will be released to the parents today for viewing on YouTube. Sincere thanks to our two 6th class teachers, Mrs McGeown and Ms. Harris for preparing the girls for the video. We are most grateful also to Mrs Cunningham for her guitar accompaniment and  for the use of her sound system.

Although this was a very different graduation, we  really hope the 6th class parents will still enjoy the experience.
