On Thursday 15th June our 6th class girls graduated. The event, which was held in the school hall, was attended by a large number of parents, family members and staff members. The sixth class girls had prepared a special prayer service to mark the end of their years at Primary School. Fr. Stephen Duffy, our school chaplain, who was also in attendance, offered a special prayer for the girls on behalf of the Board of Management. Mrs Margaret McNally read a prayer on behalf of the parents.
This was followed by a lively performance of four songs and dance moves. After speeches from Mrs. Farrell and Fr. Stephen, the girls were presented with personal Graduation Photographs. The students then presented their teachers, Mrs. Coyle and Miss Holland with gifts to show their appreciation. Finally, all those present watched a specially- made DVD about the girls’ memories of their time in St. Louis. It was a most enjoyable evening for all concerned and finished up with refreshments being served by Mrs Patricia McElwain of the Parents’ Association, assisted by Family-School Liaison Officer, Mr David McCague.
