Easter Assembly 2019

On Thursday 11th April Ms Harris’ 5th class presented an Easter Assembly for the whole school. The girls dramatised the story of Holy Week combining narration, mime and song. It was a most effective way of illustrating the real message of the Easter Season for us all. Well done girls!


Advent Assembly 2018

Mrs Mc Geown’s class prepared an Advent Assembly and presented it to the whole school on Friday 7th December, The girls explained about the Advent Wreath and helped us to focus on the real meaning of Christmas and how to prepare for the coming of Jesus.







Christmas Assembly

Mrs. Cunningham’s 4th class performed a nativity play for our Christmas Assembly this afternoon.  The play was called “It’s a Party”.  The girls told the story of the birth of Jesus though songs and drama.  It reminded us all of the true message of the season.

Assemblies 2017/18

St. Brigid’s Day Assembly

Catholic Schools week ran from Monday 29th January to Friday 2nd February. Each day two girls from each class level read out the “Thought for the Day” over the school intercom. On Wednesday, Ms Coyle’s 5th class prepared a lovely assembly to highlight the theme of this year’s Catholic Schools Week: “Families of Faith.” They also presented a short tableau of the life of St. Brigid for the whole school. On Thursday both 5th classes attended mass in St. Joseph’s Church.


Ash Wednesday Assembly

On  14th February, Mrs McGeown’s  5th class presented a very reverent assembly for Ash Wednesday. They explained what Lent is all about and gave us examples of Lenten promises that we could make. Ashes were then distributed by each class teacher to her pupils.



May Assembly

On Thursday 24th May, Mrs Cunningham’s 4th class girls presented a lovely assembly for May-the month of Mary. They explained about the life of Mary and made a beautiful May altar.
