St Louis GNS Final of ‘Eason Spelling Bee’

This afternoon, our whole school gathered together once again as we hosted the school final of the ‘Eason Spelling Bee’ and our 12 brave finalists went head-to-head.
There were finalists from each of the 5th and 6th classes:

Mollie Owens

The whole school community were on tenterhooks as the ‘12 Super Spellers’ were whittled down to just one winner.
In the end, Rita Regiec was crowned the champion with Leah Sheridan as runner-up in second place.
We were so proud of each and every one of these wonderful girls… standing on stage, in front of the whole school and spelling such difficult words is no small task!
Each finalist was presented with a certificate while Rita received a framed cert, the Eason dictionary and some treats.
Rita will now progress to the County Final of the Spelling Bee.
