Mr Morahan is currently running a 5-aside soccer league with teams of 4th, 5th and 6th class pupils on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Over 80 girls from 4th, 5th and 6th Class are currently competing in a FAI 5-a-side soccer competition in the school. There are two groups of five teams and each player will play a minimum of four games with four teams progressing to the semi final stage.
The games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the Convent green and semi-finals will take place in the next fortnight. The games have been very exciting with some excellent goals, passes, saves and tackles which is very enjoyable to watch. The girls are having great fun playing with pupils from other classes and showcasing their soccer skills.
Well done to our captains Karla, Zoe, Egle, Treasure, Nicole, Emma, Maria, Katie, Maggie and Lia for leading their teams and a big thanks to Mr Morahan for organising the whole event!
