On Tuesday 9th November our second class girls attended the launch of the 4th Annual Tradoodle Festival which was held in the school hall.  Established in 2017, the festival is a celebration of the traditional arts for young people. The girls were invited to join in with a song led by the festival’s founder and renowned musician, Thomas Johnson.

Later in the week the girls, together with their teachers, Mrs Cunningham and Mrs Clerkin, attended one of the Festival workshops in the Market House.  The musical workshop was organised by Monaghan County Library and was called “Ceol na Síog” (Music of the Fairies) by Gráinne Holland.
