The Parents’ Association Skipathon was held on Friday 28th May. They purchased a skipping rope for every girl in the school and these were distributed in advance so the girls could begin practising for the Skipathon. It was a fun day of exercise and music, courtesy of Mrs Cunningham’s speaker system. The highlight was definitely the arrival of the ice-cream van when the musical chimes were met with cheers of approval from the girls!
We are extremely grateful to all of you who so generously sponsored the children for this event. The monies collected amounted to €2,695 before expenses! This will be used to help fund the purchase of flat screen interactive panels for the classrooms, subsidise the annual cost of the Accelerated Reader and provide treats for the children.
