On Wednesday 19th June, we all gathered in the school hall for a special assembly to mark the raising of our third Green Flag– the Water Flag. In attendance were members of the Board of Management, former members of the Green Schools’ Committee and guest of honour, Monaghan goalkeeper and All-Star, Rory Beggan. The event marked the culmination of two years’ work focused on water conservation and awareness in our school. The committee  reminded us of all the activities that had taken place including curricular work, a Water Forum and a dedicated Water Day. Then it was outside to the front lawn where Rory raised the flag to a great cheer from us all and everyone joined in singing our Water Code Song.
