Our 5th classes who have been involved in the Collaboration and Shared  Education (CASE) Project with St. Mary’s BNS and Urbleshanny NS over the course of this academic year, took part in a special Celebration Day for their parents on Thursday 4th April. The pupils from the three schools got the unique opportunity to  showcase all the work  they have done on their Lego WeDo projects in  CombiLift’s Global Headquarters in Monaghan.

The Lego WeDO initiative introduced the children to robotics with a focus on collaboration and teamwork. They were able to proudly present their projects to their parents and demonstrate how they use coding on the ipad to program their creations. The showcase was very well attended by parents and also present were Marie Heraughty, Léargas, Stephanie Kenny-Quinn, NI Education Authority and David McCague, Monaghan Education Centre.

We are very grateful to the staff and management of Combilift, in particular, Catherine Fox for facilitating this marvellous occasion for our pupils. Sincere thanks also to Martin McVicar for all his support and encouragement for the project.
