On Sunday 4th February, our two 6th classes travelled to the RDS, Dublin to take part in the annual Peace Proms concert. The girls have been practising for this event since well before Christmas and have already been to Swords in January for a full-scale rehearsal. They were accompanied by Peace Proms Co-ordinator, Mrs McGeown and by their class teachers, Ms Holland and Ms Deery. Mrs Cunningham, Mrs Dowd and Mrs Farrell also travelled with them on the day. Many parents were in attendance too and all were agreed that the concert was a marvellous experience for our pupils. They got the opportunity to sing with the Cross- Border Orchestra of Ireland, as well as enjoying the performances of many artists, including soloists, dancers and even a pipe band! This was truly a memorable day for our 6th class girls!
