EventsGo Games Blitz 2017 Congratulations to our victorious 4th class Gaelic Squad who travelled to Cloghan on Tuesday 24th October to take part in the Halloween GoGames Blitz. The girls played 3 games against Broomfield, Knockconan and Corduff and won all three matches decisively! Congratulations to the squad and to their coach, Miss McNally who trained them in advance and travelled with them on the day. Squad members are: Nan, Klaudia, Rhiannal, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Melisa, Lauren & Leah, Emma , Gloria & Ernesta and Elizabete.
Ulster Schools Championship Gala
Well done to our swimming squad who represented the school at the Ulster Schools Championship Gala in Bangor on Saturday 21st October. The girls had a great day and all received goodie bags for taking part. Our swimmers are: Ava, Eimear, Daisy, Niamh and Hannah. Special thanks to Hannah's mother, Claire, for co– ordinating the team.
Gaelic Blitz 2017 A team of 3rd and 4th class girls took part in a football blitz on Wednesday 31st May in the Monaghan Harps GAA grounds. Coached by Miss McNally, they played three games, winning each decisively. The girls also got the opportunity to meet Monaghan County Goalkeeper, Rory Beggan, and got their photo taken with him. There is definitely a bright future ahead for this St. Louis team! Team members are: Rhianna, Armin, Natalie, Niamh, Daisy, Lauren, Leah, Emma, Aoife, Ella, Aoife F, Noor. Water ladies: Leah C & Klaudia 6th Class Helpers: Molly, Ailbhe, Jessica.
FAI 5-Aside Tournament 2017 On Wednesday 5th April, our soccer squad took part in the FAI 5-aside Schools' Tournament in Gortakeegan. They were accompanied by Mrs McGeown and by their coach, Paul McGeown. As St. Louis was the only team in Section C ( large girls' school), we automatically progress to the Ulster Finals which will be held in Monaghan in the summer term. The girls played a friendly on the day against Glaslough, beating them decisively. Squad members include: Ailbhe, Orla S, Orla Mc, Jessica, Kelly C, Kelly R, Molly, Caitlin, Aoife and Mia. Community Games Entrants 2017 Below are three 6th class pupils who recently won gold medals in Community Games competitions. Aoife took part in the Ulster Finals of Community Games basketball and is now through to the All-Irelands. Orla and Ailbhe achieved gold in the county final of tag rugby and are now ready to progress to the next stage. Best of luck girls! Schools' Swimming Gala Daisy and Niamh, 4th class, represented the school in a swimming gala in Monaghan's Coral Leisure Centre on Saturday 25th March. Both girls competed in the front crawl, with Niamh also participating in the backstroke and Daisy in the breaststroke, for which she secured a bronze medal. Well done girls!
County Cross Country Finals 2017 The Athletic Squad took part in the County Finals of the Primary Schools' Cross Country Competition on Wednesday 8th March in Corracrin. 11 girls in all had been selected from among those who entered the in-school trials to represent the school in the competition. The weather was excellent on the day, but the terrain under foot was still extremely wet and made for very heavy, mucky conditions. Despite that, all 11 girls finished the course and were proud to represent their school. Many thanks to Mrs Treanor and Ms. Brady who trained the girls and travelled with them on the day. The squad included: Ernesta & Gloria, 3rd Class, Daisy, Niamh, Ella & Aoife, 4th Class, Rhiain, 5th Class and Jessica, Samanta, Aoife & Orla, 6th Class.
Ulster Handball Champion 2017 Pictured left is Juste, 6th Class, who is the U-13 Girls Ulster Handball Champion in the Cumann na mBunscol 2017 Competition. Juste represented her school and province at the All-Irelands in Kingscourt on Saturday 24th February. She gained invaluable experience playing each of the other three provincial winners and was presented with an Ulster jersey, a certificate and a gold medal. Well done Juste on all your wonderful achievements!
Our Basketball Team travelled to Ballybay on February 14th to compete in a Mini-Basketball Blitz. They played a number of games and beat Gaelscoil Ultain and Corracrin NS to reach the Shield Final. They played a strong Killanny team in the final and had a narrow defeat of 14-8. The girls played their hearts out and should be very proud of themselves. The team consisted of: Eve, Ailbhe, Orla, Natalia, Paula, Aoife, Laoise, Rania, Evelina, Orla Mc, Caitlin and Rose. Many thanks to Ms McNally who accompanied the squad on the day.
Go Games Blitz 2016 Well done to our victorious 5th and 6th class Gaelic Squad who travelled to Cloghan on Tuesday 18th October to take part in the Halloween GoGames Blitz. County Athletics Event 2016The Athletics Squad took part in the County Athletics event on Friday 10th June in the Peace Links in Clones. Despite the relentless rain, the girls put in a strong performance, bagging five medals in total. Special thanks to Mrs Treanor, Ms Brady and Mrs Flynn for their hard work in preparing the squad and to all the parents who attended on the night. Team Members were: Gloria & Ernesta Marut, Emilia Zadlo, Jessie Cleary Keenan, Daisy Walker, Millie-Rose Cleary Keenan, Niamh Mc Elwain, Jessica Mc Donnell, Demi Mc Cann, Rhiain Ronaghan, Jessica Leane, Leah Danh, Cíona Barry, Aoife Mc Skeane, Laoise Ronaghan and Atlanta Mc Elvaney.

Cumann na mBunscol League 2016
Pictured above are the members of our hard-working Gaelic Squad who are taking part in the Cumann na mBunscol 2016 League. They have six matches to play over six weeks. Miss McNally coaches them and accompanies them to all their games. Handball Demonstration Lessons 2016 During the first two weeks of April, Monaghan Harps Handball Coach, Martin McEntee, came to do some demonstration lessons in handball with our 4th and 5th classes. There is a high level of interest in handball amongst our pupils, spurred on by the success of Karolina Kaklauskaite and Juste Audiejaityte who reached the Cumann na mBunscol All-Ireland Finals this year. We hope to develop this sport more in our school over the coming years.
Cross-Country 2016 Our Cross Country Team took part in the Schools' County Competition on Wednesday 9th March in Corracrin. The girls braved very difficult terrain, but managed to finish well. Thanks to Mrs Treanor and Miss Brady for coaching the girls for this event and travelling with them on the day. Team members are Liwia Kowal, Ciona Barry, Sophie Malllen, Ivona Lebed, Emma Cooney, Eve Mc Nally, Alexandra Woznica, Aoife Mc Skeane, Aoibheann Mc Ginnity and Orla Sherry. Gaelic Mini-Sevens 2016 The Gaelic squad took part in the Cumann na mBunscol Mini-Sevens Competition on Tuesday 1st March in the Gaelscoil. They played a number of tough matches but gained great experience. We are very grateful to Ms. McNally for training the girls in advance of this competition and travelling with them on the day. Squad members are: Chloe McKenna Bell, Eve McNally, Kelly Croarkin, Mia Flynn, Cionna Barry, Aoife McSkeane, Orla Sherry, Jessica Leane, Ailbhe Ward and Molly Cawley. Basketball Blitz 2016 The Basketball Squad attended the Blitz for Large Schools in Coláiste Oiriall on Friday, February 12th. They played a number of matches and got as far as the semi finals. They all thoroughly enjoyed their day. We are very grateful to Ms Mc Nally for preparing them and for accompanying them on the day. Thanks to Ms Aoife Mc Adam, a former member of staff who organised the blitz. The Basketball Squad includes: Swimming 2015 Very well done to all our girls who took part in the Schools' Swimming Gala in Monaghan Leisure Centre on Sunday 29th November where a number of them won certificates and medals. The squad included: Cíona Barry, Mia Flynn, Sophie Mallon, Lara Mc Caughey & Hannah Sheridan.

Track and Field Athletics 2013 Congratulations to our fabulous athletics team who have brought back the County Primary Schools Shield to St. Louis for the fourth consecutive year! The squad travelled to Carrickmacross on Wednesday June 19th to take part in the Large School Girls' Category of the County Primary Schools' Athletics Championships, which were held at the Carrick Aces Running Track at 6.30pm. Our team members are: Jessica Leane,Evelina Markauskaite, Natalia Smietana, Laoise Ronaghan, Mollie Cawley,Ciona Barry, Aoibha Treanor, Megan O'Leary, Klaudija Nazarova, Maja Jarazbek, Evelina Smietana, Caoimhe Cudden, Sorcha O'Neill and Caoimhe O'Hanlon.
Cross Country Athletics We are thrilled that we have once again won the County Cross Country Championships in the category of Large Girls' Schools. The competition took place in Scotstown on Monday 22nd April.
Congratulations to the victorious squad: Caoimhe O'Hanlon, Caoimhe Cudden, Aine McElwain, Vykinte Simulyte, Sorcha O'Neill, Fyne Asjohn, Kirsty Lee Brady and Alexandra McKenna.

Thank you to all the girls and their parents to came out to support Rith 2012 on Saturday 10th March. The girls took part in the Monaghan leg of a massive relay race which began in Gaoth Dobhair in Donegal and ended in Inis Mór on the Aran Islands on St Patrick’s Day. A baton containing a special message in support of the Irish Language was read out at the finishing destination and formed one of the many activities in celebration of Seachtain na Gaeilge.
