School Céilí 2017

Gach bliain i rith Seachtaine na Gaeilge bíonn céilí mór againn sa halla chun Lá Fhéile Pádraig a cheilúradh. Tagann an scoil go léir le chéile agus bíonn fáilte roimh na dtuismitheoirí chomh maith. Déanann gach rang, ó rang a dó go rang a cúig, damhsa Gaeilge- damhsaí a fhoghlaimaíonn siad i rith na mbliana lena múinteoir, Gearóid Mac Úaid ADCRG. Bíonn damhsaí nua-aimsire á dhéanamh ag rang a sé lena múinteoir. Canann na páistí amhráin, seineann siad ceoil tradisiúnta agus gan aon agó bíonn spóirt is scléip ag gachuine.




Our annual céilí, co-ordinated by Mrs.Gallagher, is held in the month of March to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. In recent years we have extended it over two days to facilitate the large number of parents who come to watch this feast of song and dance. Every class from 2nd to 5th gets a chance to perform an Irish dance, while the 6th classes put on a display of modern dancing . All classes also perform a concert item which may involve singing, reciting poetry, playing traditional music or presenting a short drama. It is a most enjoyable occasion for all and certainly an annual favourite with our pupils. An event not to be missed!
