Science Week ran this year from November 9th to 13th. Despite the Covid restrictions, Cavan Monaghan Science Festival provided a host of online webinars and science activities for Primary School children.
Two of our classes, Mrs McGeown’s 6th and Ms. Farrelly’s 5th conducted a special experiment about the” Science of Bubbles.” The festival committee provided the equipment and instructions for the experiment which was carried out in the children’s own classrooms.
Monaghan County Museum also organised a webinar entitled, “Up, Up and Away, Go Fly Your Kite.” Ms. Holland’s 5th, Ms. Murray’s 4th, Ms Markey’s 3rd & 4th and Ms. Reynolds 3rd all took part in this activity. They produced beautiful kites that they were able to fly outdoors.
