The Student Council comprises representatives from all classes within the school. They work with the Principal on School Self-Evaluation and School Improvement from a pupil point of view.

2017/18

2016/18

The new student council members have met with Mrs Farrell and set some targets for the first term. They are organising a Worry Box for each classroom where pupils can post their concerns or worries to the teacher. They are also planning a pottery competition to be held during the month of November with a prize for the best piece of pottery produced in each class. This year's student council members are: Patricia Stanaszek, Inna Dimitrova, Kaitlyn Dearden, Mila Junele, Lauren Ward, Aoife Fitzgerald, Ava Mc Glone, Eliza Naklicka, Sarah Gormely, Aoife O' Gara, Kellie Mc Carron and Laoise Ronaghan.

During the month of November the council organised an art competition for the whole school. The theme was "Animals" and entries were invited in both 2D and 3D formats. We had an unprecedented number of entries and the council could not believe the high standard in both the junior and senior sections. Judging such an array of entries was no easy task and the council spent three lunch times deciding on the winners. Great credit is due to all those who took part in the competition.

2014-15 

This year's council members are: Daisy Walker,Eliza Naklicka (2nd class), Ellie Connolly, Aoife O'Gara (3rd class), Kelly Croarkin, Ailbhe Ward (4th class), Mia Flynn, Lea Nguyen Danh(5th class), Niamh Power and Laura Keelan (6th class). 

The Council has compiled a series of activities and events to support the work being done in the school. They come up with their own ideas to enhance their learning and to become a real part of it themselves. So far, they have suggested a Friendship Post, an Open Mic opportunity and an art competition.

The council recently ran the Art Competition in the school. The closing date was Friday, February 6th.
The competition was divided into a senior and a junior section and on this occasion, the theme was "Robots". The Council was delighted with the huge number of entries and amazed at the variety of robots presented, both in 2D and 3D.
After much deliberation, the Council chose what they felt to be the best and most imaginative entries. Congratulations to all the girls who won a prize. (Report written by Mia Kierans-Flynn)
